Résumé : |
Medicines derived from cannabis will be able to be prescribed on the NHS for patients with an exceptional clinical need by specialist clinicians from the autumn, the government announced today.
A clear definition of what constitutes a cannabis derived medicinal product will be developed by the Department for Health and Social Care for England and the UK Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency, and only products meeting this definition will be rescheduled under the UK's misuse of drugs legislation as schedule 2 products, meaning they can be prescribed. Other forms of cannabis will be kept under strict controls as schedule 1 products. [Extract] |
