(A partir du résumé d'auteur) ENGLISH : In Basque society, alcohol consumption is socially accepted. Tradition has closely linked it with social interchange and leisure time. In ritual form, it has become an essential element in all local festivities and celebrations. Consequently in this social context, alcohol is not considered a drug ; consuming it has become a sign of belonging to the Basque community. However, the use of illegal drugs is associated with outside cultures and ethnic groups and can even suggest antinationalist affiliation. (Extract from the Author's abstract) |
