Résumé :
ENGLISH :
This article presents the data of a research study conducted on 250 persons that were recruited in various contexts and were interviewed on their use of psychoactive substances to modify their sexual behavior. 233 of the interviewed persons (93.2%) stated they had used psychoactive substances at least once in their lifetime. 93.1 % of the users reported having previous sexual relationships, 85.4% claimed that they were heterosexual, 58.8% did not have a steady relationship, 36.6% said they had had between two and five sexual partners in the course of the year. 56.6% of the subjects claimed that they use condoms with occasional partners, while only 30.5% use it while under the influence of drugs. 20.2% of the interviewed persons stated that they use substances with the specific purpose of modifying their own sexual behavior ("finalized users"). A further 48.8% said that although they do not intentionally use substances for sexual purposes, they have had sexual relationships while under the influence of drugs. In general, the most desired effects are removal of inhibition and modifications in physical sensibility, followed by excitement, fantasies and feeling good with the partner. Alcohol produces stronger effects in terms of disinhibition and feeling good with the partner. Marijuana is mostly used to enhance physical sensibility. Ecstasy seems to be used more to remove inhibition. The exclusive use of single substances to gain specific effects did not appear in the general sample. (Review's abstract)
