Communication au colloque de Chantilly, organisé par l'ANIT les 24 et 25 mars 1994. L'auteur, psychologue dans un service d'appartements thérapeutiques, s'interroge sur le travail autour de l'articulation du temps chronologique et du temps subjectif dans un double cadre : celui matériel de l'institution (un an de séjour maximum) et celui de ses références : la psychanalyse, où l'hypothèse principale est l'inconscient qui, par définition, est intemporel. Un exemple clinique illustre la difficulté du travail pour parvenir à une adéquation relative de ces deux axes : la vie psychique et la vie sociale. (Résumé d'auteur)

The author, a psychologist in department of therapeutic appartments, is pondering over what can be done about articulating chronological time with subjective time, in a double context : the material context of the institution (maximum one-year stay) and the context of his references : psychoanalysis, where the principal hypothesis is the sub-conscious which, by definition, is timeless. A clinical example illustrates the difficulty in working towards reaching an adjustment between these two axes : the life of the mind and life in society.
