Résumé :
Observations conducted in France among users of psychoactive substances show that the consumption of hallucinogenic plants and mushrooms is growing. In 2014, 4.8% (3.2% in 2010) of persons aged 18-64 years-old have already used hallucinogenic mushrooms at least once in their life, with 6.8% (4.9% in 2010) of men (M) and 2.8% (1.6% in 2010) of women (W). This level reached 6.6% for 18-25 years and 8.4% among 26-34 years reflecting a strong generational phenomenon. Thus, hallucinogenic mushrooms are among illicit drugs, the most experienced after cannabis for people aged of less than 30 years-old, and appeared to be more frequently experienced in Bretagne (9%) and Poitou-Charentes (11%) regions compared to other French regions (on average 5%).
Thus, these observations led us to conduct a pilot regional study among university students (1st to 3rd years at the University) in the French Poitou-Charentes region, on their natural hallucinogenic substances consumption. [Extract]
