Résumé : |
The use of amphetamines and its associated harms have received heavy media coverage and increased research attention in some countries. However, the harm reduction response remains underdeveloped when compared to the response to opiates and injecting-related harms.
Harm reduction programmes do exist and new guidance has been compiled, but there is an urgent need for harm reduction-focused research, evaluation of current programmes, further documentation of experiences, and expansion of effective interventions. A global review of the harm reduction response to amphetamines: A 2015 update discusses the emerging responses to amphetamine-related harms and considers the next steps for the international harm reduction community. Originally published as a chapter within HRI's "Global state of harm reduction 2010: Key issues for broadening the response", this paper has been updated with the most recent data for standalone publication in 2015. |
