Résumé : |
Restrictions over the availability of beverage alcohol are among the traditional policy measures applied by governments in most countries. They include physical restrictions on availability, notably:
- government monopolies that regulate the sale (and/or production) of beverage alcohol; - licensing restrictions on hours and days when alcohol may be sold; - restrictions on the density and location of retail outlets. The debate focuses on the degree to which physical restrictions should be implemented and on their effectiveness in reducing potential harm. |
