Résumé :
Ce livre présente toutes les formes de partenariat possibles et efficaces entre représentants de l'ordre et de la justice d'une part et simples citoyens (regroupés en associations ou intervenants à titre individuels) d'autre part, pour prévenir et lutter contre les nuisances liées à la revente de drogue dans les quartiers. Ainsi, un chapitre est consacré à l'importance des témoignages auprès de la police. Une autre partie présente des modèles d'intervention de regroupements de citoyens (patrouilles de surveillance, éducation du voisinage, nettoyage...) et d'associations communautaires tout en étudiant leur fonctionnement, leurs objectifs directs et leur conception de la lutte contre la drogue. Parallèlement, l'action de la police est explicitée ainsi que les mesures légales à la disposition de tous pour rétablir le calme et la sécurité dans les quartiers. Chaque apport théorique est illustré par un exemple d'intervention pratique qui pourrait presque faire de cet ouvrage un manuel à l'intention des citoyens soucieux de réduire les nuisances liées à la drogue dans leur environnement.
