Résumé : |
This guidance is issued in order to ensure the health and safety of anyone who attends dance events1 in England, with a particular emphasis on those who also take controlled drugs. It is commissioned by the Drug Prevention Advisory Service, part of the Home Office Drug Strategy Directorate, and the London Drug Policy Forum, who believe that the safety of club goers is the responsibility of everyone involved in organising dance events. The guidance is particularly aimed at
• Club owners and promoters • The promoters of dance events, both indoors and out • Those responsible for licensing and policing dance events • Drug Action Teams • Those providing drug education, medical or general welfare services at dance events It should also be stated that clubbers who take drugs need to recognise that some drug use is illegal. Furthermore, it is important that they take responsibility for their own health and safety. Just as there is a duty of care on club owners, there is also a responsibility on clubbers to care for themselves and each other. |
