Résumé : | Continuing punitive measures by the Afghan authorities has led to drug use becoming an increasingly hidden and secretive activity. Key informants and drug users estimated an average of 130 heroin users in the target districts, although given the problems inherent in collecting accurate data about problem drug use in Afghanistan, this is likely to be a gross underestimation. Hashish is reportedly the drug most commonly used in the GAI target districts, and is regularly consumed by an estimated 15-25% of the adult male population. |
