Résumé : | Problem and Non-Problem Gamblers in New Zealand: A Report on Phase Two of the 1999 National Prevalence Survey is the sixth report from the New Zealand Gaming Survey. It forms the second phase of a two-phase national prevalence survey of problem gambling in New Zealand. The results from the first phase have already been published in Taking the Pulse on Gambling and Problem Gambling in New Zealand. In that report interviews were conducted with a sample of 6,452 adults by Statistics New Zealand. The present report outlines the results of more in-depth interviews conducted with 256 phase one participants by the National Research Bureau. The study provides valuable information on the nature of gambling and problem gambling in New Zealand in addition to that already provided by Phase One. (Author's abstract) |
