Résumé :
Cannabis is not considered to be able to induce mood disorders according to DSM-IV-TR and ICD-10. Delta (9)-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol can have sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant and antidepressant effects. Psychotic symptoms, cannabis-induced psychotic disorders, schizophrenic exacerbations, as well as emotional alterations, which may appear in intoxications, are well known and accepted. However, the case we present opens up the possibility of a non-dual diagnosis of cannabis-induced mania, which does not appear in the current international categorical criteria. A Medline and Embase computer search revealed no similar reports in the literature. (Author' s abstract)
