Résumé :
This annual statistical bulletin examines the prevalence and trends of illicit drug use among 16 to 59 year olds (with a special focus on young people aged 16 to 24) resident in households in England and Wales. Figures are based on self-report drug use data from the 2008/09 British Crime Survey; comparisons are made with 1996 when drug use measures were first collected. It covers: Extent and trends in drug use since 1996: all adults aged 16 to 59; Extent and trends in drug use since 1996: young people aged 16 to 24; Variations in drug use by demographic and socio-economic factors; and polydrug use among the general population.
