ENGLISH : Whatever the paradigm in which one apprehends the drug user, one encounters the law. The penal law and the institutions that enforce it and that produce an object that belongs to them entirely. The endless and bottomless debate over the drug addict, whether ill or delinquent, ignores the producing role of criminalisation in both definitions. The drug addict as subject is being forgotten by in the analysis about him. The social fantasy of a drug consumption leading to total submission and the reunification of the subject is sustained by the speech over drug addiction which constantly reproduces the positionning of the drug-user object. The criminalisation presents effects that are surprisingly similar to those that are attributed to drugs and favors, unlike penal illusions, the promotion of the product and the prohibition of the subject. |
