(Extrait du résumé d'auteur) ENGLISH : The Therapeutic Communities in the USA often show spectacular results (up to 100% success). But this evaluation of the treatment, by the institution itself, only takes into account drug users who have agreed to enter the programme or who have met treatment, by the institution itself, only takes into account drug users who have agreed to enter the programme or who have met the criteria and passed the tests for admission (sometimes difficult) and who, in addition, have been able to stay in the institution for a least several months. The evaluation of results and the notion of success must therefore be subject to critical study (to have a position of responsibility and be a worker in a community is defined as an enhanced type of "cure"?). Nevertheless, in spite of certain caricatural or totalitarian deviations, these ventures are interesting experiences which it should be possible to integrate into the treatment and reinsertion network, subject to at least partial professionalisation (and therefore real funding) and a precise legal framework or set of regulations guaranteeing "democratic" functioning. |
