65 enfants, nés dans les années 1976-1977 de mères dépendantes des amphétamines, ont été examinés à l'âge de 1 an, 4 ans et 8 ans. Ces enfants montrent des capacité intellectuelles normales. Une corrélation, statistiquement significative, est mise en évidence entre un comportement agressif et une exposition prénatale aux amphétamines. A 4 et 8 ans, 40 % sont considérés comme ayant une faible adaptation. Ils ont, également une taille et un poids plus bas que la normale. Ces deux caractéristiques sont corrélées à des facteurs sociaux et d'environnement.
ENGLISH :
Sixty-five children born to women who all used amphetamines during pregnancy have been followed since birth 1976-1977 and examined at one, 4 and 8 years of age. The children showed a normal intellectual capacity. There was a statistically significant correlation between an aggressive behaviour and amphetamine exposure during fetal life. At both 4 and 8 years of age 40 % were considered to have a poor adjustment, which correlated with socio-environmental factors. Lower values for weight and length also showed a correlation with socio-environmental factors. (Extract from authors'abstract)
