FRANÇAIS : Communication lors des Journées nationales de l'ANIT, Avignon, mai 1997. Après avoir exprimé son inquiétude quant à l'évolution actuelle de la pratique psychiatrique (place plus importante de la neurobiologie), l'auteur développe le thème du fantasme d'une "thérapeutique miracle" en analysant la croyance de l'abstinence et en faisant un retour sur l'histoire du soin en matière de toxicomanie. La mise en place de traitements de substitution a bousculé un mode de pensée : la notion d'incurabilité liée à la substitution, l'emprise du médical, la solution du chimique par rapport au sujet et à l'inconscient, le contrôle social. L'auteur plaide en faveur d'une approche humaniste du sujet toxicomane par méfiance quant à une simple technicité appliquée. (Résumé de la revue) ENGLISH : Having expressed his anxiety concerning the current development of psychiatric pratice (which gives a larger place to the neurobiologic science), the author develops the theme of the fantasy of "miracle therapy" by analysing the belief in abstinence and making a quick resume of the history of treatment in drug dependency. The setting up of substitution treatments has upset a way of thinking : the notion of incurability linked to substitution, the ascendancy of the medical, the chemical solution in relation to the subject and the unconscious, the social control. The author pleads for a humanist approach to the drug dependent subject out of distrust of a simple applied technical approach. (Revue's abstract) |
