ENGLISH : A new report from the British Medical Association seeks to provide general practitioners with guidance on working with drug-using patients. Funding problems are particularly acute in this aera, and it is recommended that combined local budgets are explored to remedy this situation. Shared care arrangements are also considered as is professional training. Finally, the BMA urges that the AIDS budget be expanded to accomodate Hepatitits and that a national replacement for the Addict Index is urgently found. (Author' Abstract) |
