FRANÇAIS : Pour cette étude, les sujets ont été recrutés dans un programme méthadone bas seuil (n=93), dans deux services résidentiels (n=167), et hors traitement (n=82). Le Composite International Diagnostic Interview a été utilisé pour l'évaluation de la psychopathologie. Les résultats en termes de prévalence (selon le DSM-III-R) sont présentés pour le groupe total des répondants et pour les trois sous-groupes. Il apparaît que les patients des services résidentiels sont plus nombreux à rapporter au moins un trouble psychiatrique. Les sujets ayant recours au programme méthadone montrent la psychopathologie la plus légère. Les résultats sont discutés. ENGLISH : In this paper psychopathology of opiate addicts inside and outside treatment is described. Subjects were sampled in a low-treshold methadone programme (n=93), two in-patient settings (n=167) and outside tratment (n=82). The Composite International Diagnostic Interview was used for the assessment of psychopathology. Results, in terms of DSM-III-R prevalence, are presented for the total group of respondents and for the three subgroups. After adjustment for differences in demographic characteristics it appeared that more subjects applying for in-patient treatment reported at least one psychiatric disorder compared with the two other groups. The subjects applying for the methadone programme reported least psychopathology. The results are discussed. (Authors' abstract) |
