L'objet de cet exposé n'est pas d'analyser l'étude New European Alcoholism Treatment Programme (NEAT) mais d'en retirer un certain nombre d'éléments qui contribueront à répondre à la question posée par les organisateurs de ces journées "Alcoologie et Francophonie", à savoir : quel est l'état du dispositif de soins en Belgique? Des données de nature épidémiologique, une description sommaire du dispositif légal concernant la personne alcoolique compléteront l'exposé. Quelques échos du réseau Project Alcohol Network (PAN) permettront d'approcher le concept "alcoologie" et ce qu'il recouvre en Belgique. Une brève présentation des projets ayant pour objet le problème alcool en médecine générale et quelques considérations concernant le financement public du problème alcool clôtureront l'exposé. (Résumé d'auteur) ENGLISH : The objective of this paper is not to review the New European Alcoholism Treatment Programme (NEAT) study, but to identify a number of elements which can help to answer the question raised by the organizers of this "French-speaking alcohology" conference: what is the state of the health care system in Belgium. This presentation will be completed by various epidemiological data and a brief description of the legislation concerning alcoholic subjects. A brief review of the Project Alcohol Network (PAN) will illustrate the concept of "Alcohology" and how it is applied in Belgium. A brief presentation of the projects concerning the problems of alcohol in general practice and several considerations concerning public financing of the alcohol problem will conclude this paper.
