La Suisse fait partie des pays européens ayant la plus forte consommation d'alcool. On estime qu'il y a en Suisse au moins 300 000 personnes dépendantes de l'alcool, ce qui représente environ 6% de la population des 15-74 ans. Pour faire face à ce vaste problème de santé publique, le canton de Genève dispose d'un réseau de soins comprenant différents professionnels de la santé notamment une équipe psychiatrique spécialisée en alcoologie. Cette unité d'alcoologie fait partie d'une Division d'abus des substances qui dépend du Département de Psychiatrie des Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève. Cette équipe travaille en collaboration et en complémentarité avec les autres partenaires du réseau. Elle dispose de quatre programmes de soins destinés à des personnes alcooliques qui présentent en outre une comorbidité psychiatrique. Ces différents programmes sont : un programme d'accueil de crise, un programme d'hôpital de jour, un programme de suivi au long cours et un programme dit à "seuil bas" de réduction des méfaits. Au cours de cet exposé, après un rapide descriptif du profil de la population consultante, l'indication aux différents programmes sera discutée ainsi que leur déroulement. L'intégration de l'unité au réseau alcoologique genevois ainsi que la collaboration avec les différents partenaires seront développées. (Résumé d'auteur) ENGLISH : Switzerland is one of the European countries with the highest rates of alcohol consumption, It has been estimated that at least 300,000 people are dependent on alcohol in Switzerland, which represents approximately 6 % of the population between the ages of 15 and 74 years. To cope with this vast public health problem, the canton of Geneva has set up a treatment network comprising the various health professionals, especially a psychiatric team specialized in alcohology. This alcohology unit is part of the Division of substance abuse within the Department of Psychiatry of the University Hospitals of Geneva. This team works in collaboration and in complementarity with the other partners of the network. It organizes four treatment programmes designed for alcoholics who aise present a psychiatric comorbidity. These various programmes are: a crisis reception programme, a day hospital programme, a long-term follow-up programme and a so-called "low threshold" risk reduction programme. In this paper, after a rapid description of the profile of the patient population, the indications for and practical conduct of the various programmes will be discussed. The integration of the unit within the Geneva alcohological network as well as the collaboration with the various partners will also be discussed. (Author' s abstract) |
