Résumé : | The aim of the survey was to compare clinical and sociodemographic differences between patients with substance abuse or dependence and mental illness who, over a three-month period, sought psychiatric help in a hospital (UPH) or a methadone clinic (CPTIDD). On average, patients were 26 years old, with almost 7 years of drug dependence. The most frequent diagnoses among CPTIDD patients were depression and anxiety disorders, and, among UPH patients, schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorders. In UPH patients dependence on, or abuse of, heroin were equally common, while all CPTIDD patients were dependent on heroin and other illegal drugs. (Author' s abstract) |
