FRANÇAIS : Cet article reprend et commente les campagnes publicitaires de ces dernières années contre la drogue et le sida et tente d'analyser leur impact. Les auteurs s'accordent à penser qu'informer le public ne suffit pas, il faut le responsabiliser mais aussi le former à travers des campagnes d'éducation à la santé. ENGLISH : The article analyses social advertising campaigns to prevent AIDS and drug addiction. It has been made a previous selection, focusing on the study of the campaigns made by the Ministery of Health and Consumption and the Fundation against Drug Addiction. In the case of AIDS, as the advertising campaigns promoted by the Ministery of Health and Consumption follow the guidelines of the joint Programme of the United Nations (ONUSIDA), we thought convenient to analyse also the campaigns developed for this organism coinciding with the AIDS World's day. To analyse in depth the campaigns we have started from an approaching of the concepts of AIDS and drugs and have studied the factors that influence the consumption of drugs and the infection of AIDS and its effects, verifying that there exists a direct relation between the effects of drugs consumption and the spread of the AIDS virus. Once analysed the campaigns and its media diffusion, between other conclusions, it deserves to emphasize that there are several caracteristics in common in the short of advertising campaigns made in both cases, and in general it can be said that we are talking about campaigns orientated to provoke a reflexive criticism, trying to encourage the personal responsibility. This campaigns have had a big incidence in the public opinion, setting up a social landmark in our country, but, specially in the case of AIDS, in spite of the repercussions of the campaigns, there is a general questioning about its effectiveness, because most of the adverts are informative campaigns that touch upon the use of the preservative. But different studies make us conclude that informing is not enough, so a needed step forward, would be "to educate". From that the importance of an educational advertising, that brings up principles and human and familiar bonds, that transmit the repulse to drugs, and an authentic sexual education.
