ENGLISH : Primacy of the economy imposes to aim non-stop towards the performance and multiple tools are proposed to us to reach this objective, in particular means of symptomatic assistance, for example doping behaviours. Doping-behaviour is the use of a substance in order to improve performance to face an obstacle, which is either real, or imagined and this perceived as real by the user or by the people around him. In others words, it is a behaviour of consumption of products in which, in a context of uncertainty, a person tries to adapt himself (herself) in a successful way to the representation which she has of a given situation. By basing itself on Atkinson's model, according to which tendency to undertake in an action would be a function of the tendency to be reached success less tendency to be avoided failure, this article examines the hypothesis according to which doping behaviours are behaviour to prevent failure.
