Résumé : | The 90-90-90 targets (i.e. by 2020, 90% of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status, 90% of all people with diagnosed HIV infection will receive sustained antiretroviral therapy and 90% of all people receiving antiretroviral therapy will have viral suppression) set by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) has provided a clear and pragmatic road map towards ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2030. Ending HIV/AIDS among key populations is the first, critically important step. In the past decade, China has made remarkable progress in scaling-up harm reduction programs. However, both the drug use and HIV epidemics among drug users have evolved during the past decade, calling for new approaches. This special issue assembles a collection of papers which describe the changing landscape of drug use and the HIV epidemic, underscoring the need to further expand access to antiretroviral therapy (ART) and quality long-term HIV care for drug users in China.
