Résumé :
The analysis of drug use has never been only the clinical observation and measurement of its health effects. On the one hand, it has constituted, in its extreme and fast-paced forms, an element of distinction and recognition of an intellectual and artistic elite, such as the French poets of the 19th Century: Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine - the famous cursed poets (Verlaine 1920 [1888]). On the other hand, its problematic - or its problematization - has become such in relation to its social representation, namely its attributions - illegality, acceptance, tolerance, etc. - are not exclusively based on objective and scientific data, but are derived from an allocation system implemented by different social groups. These attributions are subject to permanent change according to groups, times and especially contexts.
In this interaction, the media play a role that involves amplification, validation, as well as anticipation. There is no doubt that the media reflect the attitude of a society, sometimes the attitudes of its different parts, but at the same time they promote by accelerating changes in perspective with regard to the dmg problem.
