Since 2012, a new synthetic opioid named AH-7921 has become available within the recreational drug market. AH-7921, IUPAC name 3,4-dichloro-N-[[1-(dimethylamino)cyclohexyl]methyl]benzamide, is an N-substituted cyclohexylmethylbenzamide where the benzamide moiety is dichlorinated at positions 3 and 4 of the ring and the aminocyclohexane moiety is N,N-dimethylated.
