Résumé :
Evidence from historical analyses, legal history, and attribution studies is reviewed as it concerns how evidence of drunkeness affects the attribution of responsibility. The findings are discussed from the viewpoint of attribution theory. Several theroretical issues are discussed, including definitions of responsibility and individual differences. The available information supports the cultural ambivalence toward the use of alcohol. (Review' s abstract)
