FRANÇAIS :
Les auteurs approchent le problème de l'alcool du point de vue de la réduction des dommages. Ils ont étudié les effets bénéfiques de l'alcool, les dommages faits par l'alcool dans les communautés, les beuveries des étudiants de collège, les licences pour les débits de boissons, et les conséquences de la consommation en grande quantité. Il est suggéré qu'une approche expérimentale, équilibrée, et pragmatique doit être adoptée pour la diminution des problèmes liés à l'alcool dans une perspective de la réduction des dommages.
ENGLISH:
The authors approach the alcohol problem from a harm reduction point of view. They have studied the beneficial effects of alcohol, the alcohol-related harm in communities, the college-student bingedrinking, the licensed drinking settings, and the consequences of heavy-drinking. It is suggested that an experimental, balanced, and pragmatic approach should be adopted to the reduction of alcoholrelated problems in the perspective of harm reduction. (From the authors)
