Résumé :
The purpose of this module is to introduce key ethical principles and discuss how they can be applied in epidemiological research on drug use. Major ethical challenges for drug epidemiology are identified along with the important questions and issues that investigtors should consider in addressing these. The module aims to enhance the capacity of researchers in developing countries to carry out data collection on illicit drug use in an ethical manner. It is intended to serve as a resource that investigators may utilise when taking the initiative to develop ethicallly sound solutions to the dilemmas they face locally.
