Les conduites d'alcoolisation répondent à une classification précise très importante à connaître pour intervenir efficacement. L'alcoolo-dépendance peut être physique ou psychique et correspond à une perte de maîtrise de la consommation d'alcool. Le repérage des consommateurs à risque est du domaine du médecin généraliste, qui doit systématiquement aborder cette question avec tous ses patients. La pratique de l'intervention brève codifiée est efficace. (Résumé de la revue)

Levels of alcohol use correspond to a precise classification system, which is very important to know for effective intervention. Alcohol dependence may be either physical or psychological and is defined as a loss of control over the consumption of alcohol. The family doctor is in an excellent position to discover at-risk drinkers by systematically raising the question with all his or her patients. The technique of brief intervention for alcohol problems is effective. (From the review' s abstract)
