Résumé :
As a part of a dissertational study about the construction of Danish drug policy since 1965, news articles about drugs in 2 newspapers were analyzed. The sample consisted of 344 news articles from two 6- month-periods in 1982 and 1996. It was the aim of the study to reveal the dominant actor from a fist of actors (police, treatment personnel, politicians, administrators etc.) in the articles. Further on it should be possible to conclude about the dominant theme (general policy, control, treatment, prevention, dive abuse situation and consequences) and the tendency in headlines (war, rhetoric, size rhetoric, neutral rhetoric). The methodology used was quantitative content analysis. It was shown that in the majority of the articles the police was the dominant actor, the control theme was dominant and that almost all headlines were characterized by war, moral or size rhetoric.
