Résumé :
To analyse the relation between quality of life and psychiatric symptoms in drug addicts the life situation of 219 opiate addicts was ascertained with the EuropASI. To assess mental symptoms and disturbances standardised questionnaires such as the SCL-90-R, BDI, STAI and GAFS were used. Quality of life was defined in two ways: firstly, in a more objective view regarding somatic and mental health, employment, living conditions, partnership and friends/leisure time, and secondly, by the subjective perception of the same aspects. Correlations both between perceptions of quality of life and drug consumption and between quality of life and mental symptoms/disturbances will be discussed. (Author' s abstract)
