Résumé :
ENGLISH :
One of the most striking changes in UK treatment of opiate addiction in the last 20 years has been the increasing prominence of maintenance prescribing as the dominant philosophy and the default treatment offered to new clients accessing structured community drug services in England. The argument laid out below challenges the wisdom of this new orthodoxy in terms of both the evidence base, and its impact on client choice and long-term outcomes. (Extract of the publication)
