Position statements: One of the primary goals of the conference was to arrive at position statements regarding continuing care. By the end of the conference, the participants produced position statements concerning three issues: (a) what is currently known about the components of effective continuing care, (b) factors that are likely to improve continuing care, and c) key questions that require additional research.
