Résumé :
In 1998, the European Lottery Association appointed Dr. Mark D. Griffiths of the Psychology Division of Nottingham Trent University in the UK, to carry out a study on pathological gaming. This report is the first in a series of papers to concentrate on gambling in Europe. The focus of this first report is lottery gambling (including scratchcards and video lottery terminals) across Europe in relation to addiction and other social impacts. This study was presented at the Association's Congress in May 1999. (Editor' s abstract)
