FRANÇAIS :
Un programme de contrôle dit "de qualité" fut créé en 1986 à Barcelone, afin de : a) favoriser l'amélioration du niveau de formation du personnel travaillant à l'analyse des drogues et b) offrir un système valable de vérification des résultats analytiques. 39 laboratoires sont inscrits dans ce programme. Il prévoit l'envoi trimestriel dans chaque laboratoire de 6 échantillons d'urine de 50 ml chacun, contenant les drogues d'abus et/ou leurs métabolites. Les résultats obtenus par chaque laboratoire sont évalués individuellement et collectivement. Les données sont traitées par informatique. L'évaluation des résultats se fait en consensus avec les laboratoires qui participent au programme, et des laboratoires extérieurs assurant un contrôle externe
ENGLISH :
The Quality Assurance Program on Drugs of Abuse Analysis was created in order to fulfill two objectives a) To promote the education of personel involved in Drugs of Abuse Analysis and b) To offer a validated verification of the quality of analytical results obtained. Nowadays there are 39 laboratories in the Program. Six samples of 50 ml of urine are send to each Laboratory once every three months, containing some of the principal drugs of abuse or metabolites. Results obtained by each laboratory are evalutated both individual and in a collective way by means of a computer program. Evaluation of results is done accordingly to consensus established between Reference Laboratories and Participant ones. (Extract from the author's abstract)
