L'apparition du Sida a obligé le thérapeute à réviser sa position par rapport à la maintenance du toxicomane à la méthadone. L'étude menée auprès de 26 dépendants aux opiacés fait ressortir leur comportement social, leur attitude quant à l'usage de drogues non prescrites dans leur traitement et leur évolution sur six mois.
ENGLISH :
The roles of the prescribing of maintenance methadone and of prescribing injectable drugs in the management of opiate addicts have become subjects of active debate since the advent of HIV. Data are presented on the social circumstances and drug-taking behaviour of 26 opiate addicts who had been receiving maintenance methadone (24 of whom had been receiving at least part of the prescription as injectible methadone ampoules).
