Student generated solutions to the alcohol/drug problem : a wisconsin profile (1991)

L'opinion à l'égard de la crédibilité des programmes de conseil et d'éducation sur l'alcool et les drogues peut servir d'outil d'évaluation. Une étude a été faite auprès de 3889 étudiants du wisconsin quelque soit le niveau d'études, le type d'institution (publique ou privée); en dehors d'une petite différence liée au sexe, les résultats étaient identiques. Les solutions proposées sont l'aide aux écoles, le développement d'institutions d'aide et d'évaluation de leurs programmes.
ENGLISH :
Student perceptions regarding the credibility of alcohol and other drug abuse (herein AODA) education and counseling programs may serve as a valuable tool in designing and evaluating such programs. This study surveyed 3889 students throughout Wisconsin in order to generate their opinion of a description of the necessary "ingredients" for an effective program. The resulting description was similar throughout both the junior and senior high levels, with little difference noted between the sexes, and irrespective of the type of institution attended (i.e. public or private). The study provides student generated solutions that should be of assistance to schools, communities and auxiliary institutions in developing and evaluating their AODA programs. (Author's abstract)
