Prônant des actions préventives suivant une approche globale, un conseiller en prévention de l'université de Montréal compare les caractéristiques des stratégies traditionnelles et des mises en place d'ensemble et à long terme. Il opte pour le pari de changements durables et plus profonds de la prévention holistique et va jusqu'à conclure qu'une politique préventive axée sur la guerre à la drogue exclusivement est déphasée.
ENGLISH :
The author shows how the traditional approach to prevention of drug use is an offshoot of health care during the times of great epidemics when they used acts of dissuasion to stem the transmission of disease. He suggests a global prevention program, based on an integrated approach to the promotion of health and concretized by specific acts designed to minimise risk and build support for subjects in their own milieu. The goal is to help high risk subjects to learn self-management both individually and collectively. (Author's abstract)
