In 1992 the "Deutscher Caritasverband", the "Gesamtverband für Suchtkrankenhilfe im Diakonischen Werk", the "Deutsche Hauptstelle gegen die Suchtgefahren (DHS)", the "IFT Institut für Therapieforschung" and the "Verband der Fachdkrankenhäuser" agreed to unify the actual running stationary information systems "EBIS-stationär" and "DOSY" and to go with a new project named SEDOS.
