On décrit ici une méthode (TDx) qui augmente la sensibilité du test de dépistage de la benzoylecgonine (BE), métabolite urinaire de la cocaïne, de 300ng/ml à 50ng/ml. 500 échantillons ont été ainsi vérifiés et les positifs contrôlés par chromatographie et spectrographie. On obtient 70% d'échantillons positifs de plus qu'avec le test EMIT-d.a.u.
ENGLISH :
The threshold of the Abbott TDx cocaine metabolite assay was lowered from 300ng/ml benzoylecgonine (BE) to 50 ng/ml. Screening urine samples by the modified TDx assay yielded a 70% increase in positive BE results compared with EMIT-d.a.u. Lowering the threshold of TDx assay to 50ng/ml enhances the detection of BE in the population at high risk for tragic consequences of cocaine abuse. (Extract from authors'abstract)
