ENGLISH :
The confusion which persists in matters of drug addiction comes from reducing the parameters which make for its legitimacy to physiological dependency alone. P. Petit, basing his argument on the founding texts of Freud, and the extensions proposed by Lacan, clarifies the debate by showing the need for a dissociation between addiction, peculiar to the "être parlant" (Lacan proposed the neologism of "parl'être") and drug dependency, which can reduce any living organism to servitude.
