L'auteur présente une expérience pilote de programme de réduction des risques dans le domaine de la toxicomanie en 1989 et 1990 concernant les héroïnomanes du centre de Barcelone. Ce programme était fondé sur une méthodologie ethnographique où étaient intégrés l'investigation et l'intervention sociale. L'auteur présente également la base théorique de ce travail, à dominante ethnographique et fondé sur de nouveaux paradigmes scientifiques surmontant les limitations du positivisme.

The author presents a pilot experience on a risk reduction program regarding drug abuse in 1989 and 1990, made within the heroin addicts of Barcelona's centre, through an ethnographic methodology that included research as well as social intervention. He draws a theoretical mark in which he underlines the need to put the ethnographic work in the context of the new scientific paradigms that allow to surpass the limits of positivism.
