Apesanteur du corps et parole suspendue : clinique de la vacuité narcissique

Dénier l'inévitable puissance de la nature et la finitude du corps devient une valeur des sociétés postmodernes. Les expériences d'addiction -toxicomanies et anorexie- constituent alors un nouveau "malaise dans la civilisation". Ces jeunes passionnés négligent le caractère partiel de la pulsion et de l'objet pour impliquer le corps entier, d'abord dans sa plénitude, puis dans son effacement. Si le sujet jouit dans cet écart, son acte le destitue aussitôt d'une place de sujet. Au couplage plein-vide répond un découplage du corps et de la pensée : le choix est entre l'infinitude d'une expansion corporelle qui réduit à rien la psyché et la toute-puissance d'une pensée qui ne serait pas aliénée au langage. Le leurre narcissique ne résiste pas au ratage d'une jouissance sans entrave du toxicomane ou à celui d'une assomption ascétique de l'anorexique. Le ratage, la levée de l'illusion permettront d'ouvrir un espace de liberté, celui de la thérapie, à condition, bien sûr, que le thérapeute ne soit pas à son tour pris de vertige devant l'insoutenable légèrete du vide : le thérapeute devra accepter d'être un nouvel agent de colmatage comme l'ont été drogue, jeûne, vomissements, pour que du vide puisse s'élaborer une plainte de la perte. The denial of the unavoidable power of nature and the body finiteness has become a value of post-modern societies. Experiences of addiction -drug addiction and anorexia- represent a new "Civilization and its discontents". To engage the entire body, first in its fullness and then in its obliteration, these young passionate neglect the partial character of the drive and the object. To the couple fullness-emptiness responds the dichotomy of mind and body : the choice is between the infiniteness of a corporal expansion leading the psyche to nothingness or the omnipotence of a thought which would not be alienated to the language. The narcissistic trap cannot withstand the failure of the drug addict unobstructed "jouissance" or the anorexic ascetic assumption. The failure, the undoing of the illusion will create a space for freedom, the therapy's one, as long as the therapist does not collude with the unbearable lightness of emptiness : he will have to accept a new agent of filling as used to be drug, lack of food, vomiting, to allow from the emptiness the elaboration of the loss.
