La consommation importante d'ecstasy au cours des soirées "raves" a entrainé une augmentation des complications graves dues à cette drogue. L'épuisement physique et la toxicité directe ont pour conséquence des hyperthermies et autres pathologies, illustrées par un cas chez une jeune fille de 18 ans.
ENGLISH :
Since the late 1980s there have been a number of reports about the complications associated with using the MDMA. A combination of direct toxicity and strenuous physical exertion can lead to hyperthermia and its attendant complications. The following case illustrates some of the possible consequences following ecstasy ingestion and reiterates the prompt recognition and treatment in preventing the development of irreversible sequelae.
