Les statistiques d'interpellations des consommateurs de drogues illicites en Suisse, montrent une augmentation continue entre 1977 et 1990. Il est vrai que la relation entre le nombre d'interpellations et le nombre de consommateurs est inconnue et peut varier selon le temps et la région. Mais on démontre ici que le lien avec les données de la pratique policière peut être évité en utilisant un modèle mathématique, ainsi qu'en faisant la distinction entre dénonciation et récidive. L'ajustement du modèle aux données selon la méthode des carrés minimaux donne une estimation du nombre de consommateurs qui montre une évolution du double en 1982 et du triple en 1990.
ENGLISH :
The registry of charges against users of illegal drugs in Switzerland is showing a steady increase from 1977 to 1990. Of course the relation between the number of charges and the number of users is unknown and may vary in time and space. It is shown here that the dependency of the data from the police can be circumvented with the help of a mathematical model and the distinction between first and subsequent charge. The least squares fit of the model to the data leads to an estimated time series of the number of illegal drug users that implies, with respect to 1977, the twofold in 1982 and the threefold in 1990.
