Cinq cas d'intoxication au LSD sont présentés. Le diagnostic est difficile car les métabolites du LSD sont difficilement décelables. Il n'existe pas actuellement de tests de laboratoire qui permettent cette détection. Les effets de la drogue sont rapides (1h après l'absorption). Les décès sont rarement liés à l'intoxication mais plutôt aux troubles de la perception qui en résultent. La prise en charge des patients consiste à traiter l'anxiété et les attaques de panique. Les flashbacks sont du ressort des psychiatres.
ENGLISH :
At present, LSD intoxication or overdose can only be suspected based on clinical findings because there are no readily available rapid laboratory tests for detecting either the parent compound or the metabolites of the drug. The clinical findings of five patients are presented. The pharmacological effects of LSD and treatment modalities of intoxication are reviewed. All patients were treated conservatively based on clinical signs and symptoms. (From authors' abstract)
