L'article s'appuie sur les publications les plus récentes communiqués au séminaire du projet ISDRUTS (International Study of the Drug Treatment System) qui s'est tenu à Lisbonne du 7 au 9 octobre 1998. L'article décrit les tendances actuelles dans chaque pays européen. Les récents changements législatifs, la mise en place des mesures de réduction des risques, la situation des essais de prescription d'héroïne, l'implosion des systèmes de traitements des toxicomanes dans les systèmes de traitement des alcooliques et les alternatives à l'incarcération. La conclusion analyse ces tendances dans le cadre du climat politique européen.
ENGLISH :
The article describes the recent developments in drug treatment systems in several European countries. The article is based on the up-dated papers delivered in the closing meeting of the ISDRUTS-project (International Study of the Drug Treatment Systems) in Lisbon, October 7-9, 1998. In the article latest trends in drug situation and drug-related harm in different countries are represented. Also recent changes in legal measures, the proceeding of the harm reduction measures, the situation with heroin trials, the implosion of the drug treatment system into the alcohol treatment system and alternatives to imprisonment and other diversion mechanisms for addicts are described. In the concluding chapter recent trends in drug treatment are analysed in the framework of the political climate in Europe. (Author's abstract.)
L'article s'appuie sur les publications les plus récentes communiqués au séminaire du projet ISDRUTS (International Study of the Drug Treatment System) qui s'est tenu à Lisbonne du 7 au 9 octobre 1998. L'article décrit les tendances actuelles dans chaque pays européen. Les récents changements législatifs, la mise en place des mesures de réduction des risques, la situation des essais de prescription d'héroïne, l'implosion des systèmes de traitements des toxicomanes dans les systèmes de traitement des alcooliques et les alternatives à l'incarcération. La conclusion analyse ces tendances dans le cadre du climat politique européen.

The article describes the recent developments in drug treatment systems in several European countries.
