Résumé :
ENGLISH :
Introduction. Several factors have been related to success in antagonist programmes for heroine users, thus being necessary to establish the patient profile that better takes advantage of this therapy. Objective. Our aim is to define naltrexone effectiveness, predictive factors, and user profile that maximises this resource. Subjects and methods. We studied 1432 heroine users (1988-2001) that consecutively began naltrexone programme in Ramon y Cajal Hospital (Madrid). Survival methods (Kaplan-Meier, Cox regression model) seem to be proper to analyse these data. Results. Retention probability to one year is 29.75%. There exist significant statistical differences in several factors; starting from them vve define a complete and consistent user profile based on gender, age at the drug use onset, time of misuse, legal antecedents, social support, and familiar involvement in therapy.
